Description

StopTech® is Centric’s ultra performance division, a leading innovator of world class brake components and systems for production-based racing cars and high performance vehicles on the street and track. StopTech® slotted, drilled, and drilled+slotted brake rotors prevent glazing of the pads, add bite and improve wet and dry braking performance while looking great behind custom wheels and open wheels. Slotting and drilling  improve the initial bite of the brake pads, and help wipe away the debris that forms between the pad and the disc.

Every StopTech® Sport Rotor is produced from a high quality StopTech Premium blank rotor. Featuring superior casting and finished in a durable e-coating for corrosion resistance.

Electrocoating Finish

StopTech® Sport rotors utilize an Electrocoating finish that provides long lasting corrosion protection. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting.

Slotted Application

StopTech Sport Rotors in 126 Series are Slotted Brake Rotors for certain vehicle applications. Slotted StopTech Sport Rotors feature a sided, directional cut slots in the rotor face to increase pad wiping. This effect allows better pad to rotor surface contact and reduces debris from road or burnt pad material to interfere with braking coefficient of friction.   

Drilled Application

StopTech Sport Rotors in 128 Series are Drilled Brake Rotors for certain vehicle applications. Drilled StopTech Sport Rotors feature a sided, directional cut holes in the rotor face to increase rotor cooling and pad degassing. This effect allows better pad to rotor surface contact and reduces a gas layer produced from high braking temperatures. Higher cooling of rotor helps prevent rotor warp, while looking great behind modern open wheels. 

Slotted Application

StopTech Sport Rotors in 127 Series are Slotted+Drilled Brake Rotors for certain vehicle applications. Slotted+Drilled StopTech Sport Rotors combine the benefits from both slotted and drilled designs. Feature a sided and directional cut slots and holes in the rotor face to increase pad wiping, cooling, and degassing; while looking great behind modern open wheels  

Double Disc Ground

StopTech Sport rotors feature a double disc ground, taper free finish. Double disc grinding ensures parallelism, eliminates run out and provides near perfect disc thickness variation (DTV). Double disc grinding leaves a non-directional finish for more effective pad-rotor break in. This special finish also provides quieter and smoother stops.

Symmetric Vane Castings

Symmetric vane castings provide proper heat transfer and thermal efficiency, resulting in superior braking power and safety.

Mill Balancing

StopTech Sport rotors are mill balanced to a tolerance of less than 2oz.inch. This additional machining operation reduces feedback associated with rotor vibration and provides a smooth confident application of braking force.
